Emergent Curriculum: Honoring the Whole Child

Emergent curriculum yields socially competent and emotionally intelligent children who experience learning through the activations of their brains through experiential play through a child-led, holistic focus for each child. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of holistic and emergent curriculum practices that honor the whole child—mind, body, and spirit—through observation, relationship-building, and play. They will leave with practical tools to design learning experiences that emerge from children’s interests, family culture, and the natural environment, promoting creativity, emotional well-being, and authentic engagement.
