                          Instructions To The Applicant

Application for a tuition award for the academic year and all supporting documents must be completed and received at the CAEYC Tuition Award Committee Office on or before FRIDAY, MARCH 13, 2009.  All the materials submitted by or for you is confidential and should be sent directly to the address indicated on each page.

The following are preliminary requirements for eligibility:

     (1)     United States citizenship and Colorado residence,

     (2)     a documented "B" cumulative GPA from each
              college/university you have attended,

     (3)     acceptance for full-time junior or senior undergraduate
              year at a Colorado college or university, and

     (4)     a declared academic emphasis in Early Childhood
                  Education.

There are no restrictions based on race, creed, color, sex, or marital status, and financial need is not a primary consideration.

Your application is considered complete when we have received:

     Form A-1     Applicant Information,

     Form A-2     Applicant Information (continued),

     Form A-3     Applicant responses to essay questions,

     Form  C     College References (two required),

     Form  P     Personal References (two required), and

     An official Academic Transcript from each college or university 
     that you have attended.

Applications cannot be considered unless all required materials have been received on or before FRIDAY, MARCH 13, 2009.  We advise you to check with your references at least on week in advance of the deadline to be sure that your application has been completed.  Please choose your references carefully and make sure they have the information needed (e.g., knowledge of awards and honors, interest in and commitment to working with young children) to complete the form.
