The award is based on the following criteria, with special attention to individuals who have shown particular commitment to the ideals of CAEYC and NAEYC. Please address the following elements in your nomination.

1) Number of years of service on behalf of young children

2) Knowledge of early childhood care and educational background

3) Evidence of involvement with children and families on a local community level.

4) Individual’s influences on early childhood care and education beyond ordinary expectations especially at the local community level.

5) Evidence of speaking out on behalf of young children in ways that reflect the goals and purposes on CAEYC.
